So how come the Army Navy game. It is just a tradition of us getting our butt kicked, while we run in saying we wont get our butt kicked?

Same reason I'm a diehard Flyers fan. Last Stanley Cup was 1975.......but they are still my favorites.

SFC Private RallyPoint Member I would submit that the Army Navy game is more important than ever. So much of the military tradition has been neutered that the few traditions that have not been attacked by political correctness should be held on to tightly. I am glad that Navy has sung last for many moons consecutively. It will be a sad day when Navy sings first next. More important than that is the honor, respect, and tradition that it represents. To me the Army Navy Football game is the game I look forward to all season. I enjoy watching college football. Because of where I grew up, there are several teams that I enjoy watching. I actually do cheer for both Army and Air Force (except when they play Navy) because I think when the academies are strong it is good thing. So it does not matter that Army gets beaten on the field. What is more important is the tradition behind it. So it is my hope that once again this year your cadets will sing first, but it is great that they will be there to sing at all. It means that a proud military tradition has made it through another year.
