SGT Private RallyPoint Member6411365<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read this. <br /><br />A simpler short version of my question is this, October 1st, I would reenlist for Germany, but I found out that the 9g RCP code was on my SRB. So I went to my retention NCO and asked her about it, and she told me I had to update my basd because I was in the reserves for three years and then went active duty. They gave me the 9g code because the system showed I entered active service in 2012, but I came into the active army in October of 2015. So a month passes by, and we sent the paperwork up to brigade. Yesterday I checked my SRB, and it shows that the 9g is gone, but my basd hasn't changed, and I cant reenlist until it is. My question is, since the 9g RCP code is gone, does it mean my basd is about to change?Since the 9g RCP code has been removed from my SRB, does it mean my BASD is about to change?2020-10-17T12:14:58-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member6411365<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to read this. <br /><br />A simpler short version of my question is this, October 1st, I would reenlist for Germany, but I found out that the 9g RCP code was on my SRB. But, if the 9G code was preventing you from reenlisting, and that code is now gone, what is preventing you from reenlisting now?Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 17 at 2020 12:32 PM2020-10-17T12:32:43-04:002020-10-17T12:32:43-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6411918<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No there are two different systems and people at work here. Your Career Counselor placed and removed the 9G. DFAS has to change your BASD, unless DFAS already had your BASD correct and it's only your SRB that's incorrect. In which case that's a quick fix.<br /><br />In your case your BASD is correct in one system and not another. Your Career Counselor can fix this by giving a copy of your MS51 There-way compare to your BDE S1 HR Tech, and your SRB will he updated within 72 hours. However, you don't need to do that in order to reenlist. Your 9G was removed only after RETAIN, the database used for Reenlistment, was updated with your correct BASD. So you can go see your Career Counselor now to get that Germany request in.<br /><br />If they have any questions on the more technical aspects of my response they can reach out to me on global and I will be happy to walk them through the processResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 17 at 2020 3:49 PM2020-10-17T15:49:27-04:002020-10-17T15:49:27-04:002020-10-17T12:14:58-04:00
