Since my DD368 was approved, will I be able to change my MOS to something combat arms?

I'm currently a part of the Reserves and I just got in my packet approved to go active duty by my chain of command. I am a 92f but want to change my mos to something combat arms. But 92f is in need according to goarmy.com so i curious if this will keep me in my mos or will i still have the option to change my mos, i understand its about the needs of the army and have no problem staying in my mos. Just curious about my options.

Now that you're enlisting in the Active Army you have the rare opportunity to get a recruiter to work for you with former knowledge of the military.
Request the job you want and ask for airborne or air assault, if that's your thing. Make sure they are both in your contract.

Unfortunately no one here can truly give you an definitely answer. The best thing for you to do is to go talk to a recruiter to see if that is an option for you. Good Luck to you...

I am currently a recruiter and what I've seen lately is that, if they have an opening in your current mos, you will keep it. The Army will save money by not retraining you. If you are able to switch your mos, you will pick from a list that the Army currently needs...which I don't see something combat related being an issue

There is stuff you can volunteer for once you are on active duty.
