Hello, currently have a few questions for anyone with knowledge or know someone with knowledge. Currently a sophomore in school with a 3.75 GPA, hold Network Pro/Security Pro certifications which is equivalent to CompTIA Net+/Sec+ and currently have certificates of training. I meet all of the minimum requirements but no actual experience in Cyber, just knowledge. Would this suffice to submit my packet or should I seek more certs like CEH first?

17C is an application MOS, meaning that you are applying directly to the school for acceptance. The worst they can say is no and you've lost nothing and can reapply later.

roger that, so it’s looking like things should be ok for me to be accepted. With education, certs as well as some training (I.e. wireshark, nmap, pen testing, and forensics). SFC (Join to see)

SGT (Join to see) compared to other applicants I've seen at your rank, you're well ahead of most of your peers.

I watched a recruitment video for a unit located at Bragg (Joint Communications Unit). The Air Force E-8 giving the brief said one thing that stood out to me, and I believe it's exactly what SFC Boyd is trying to say: NEVER disqualify yourself. Just because you THINK you're not qualified, doesn't mean you won't get accepted.

I wasn’t aware that 17C was a packet MOS. I was certain it was something you could reclassify too. If you have any information please share it, as I wish to be a 17C also.

Yeah, it’s a packet. Speak to retention, check out the cyber school webpage for more info on what they’re looking for.
