Avoid Isolation<br />Effective leaders know that isolating yourself from the rest of your team is like shooting yourself in the foot. Being transparent about your goals, challenges and vision is important to developing a strong team as well as organization.<br /><br />3. Understand Motivation<br />Effective leaders are motivated by different things and in different ways. Taking the time to figure out how you can motivate the various personality types in 2016 throughout your organization will make for more productive and satisfied employees.<br /><br />4. Being transparent about your goals, challenges and vision is important to developing a strong team as well as organization.<br />{while physical isolation from subordinates is not necessarily good, ensuring that the overall credit and blame for executing your plans as a leader falls on you}<br />3. Understand Motivation = Effective leaders are motivated by different things and in different ways. Taking the time to figure out how you can motivate the various personality types in 2016 throughout your organization will make for more productive and satisfied employees.<br />{some people are externally motivated which requires more firm measures to push or pull them to the goal while others have an internal motivation that can be leveraged}<br />4. Effective leaders know how to take calculated risks because they know that it is in the best interest of their organization. No matter what happens, remain confident in your ability to lead and be steadfast in your decision-making skills.<br />{Take risks yourself and do not deliberately send those under you on foolhardy or glory seeking missions. Count the cost and ensure you are coordinating as best you can before you use your unit to execute the operation. When appropriate lead your force physically and when that is not appropriate be nearby - physically or by direct communication}<br />5.
