China warships warned U.S. navy patrol in South China Sea

Chinese warships gave warnings to a U.S. navy ship as it patrolled close to China's man-made islands in the South China Sea, China's defense ministry said on Tuesday, adding that the military would take all necessary steps to protect the country's interests.

We should keep sailing in the area...continue the accepted maritime practice...and let them warn. We are making friends in the area by doing so, and China is making enemies by building islands. So we should keep this status quo.

One Destroyer a battle group does not make. Remember the Pueblo or the PBY (I think that is what it was) taken to Hainan along with the crew. I don't expect a combat situation to arise, but these are tactics that resulted in our backing off in the past.

SCPO David Lockwood Don't elect me president. I would have had them drop anchor right in that bay. See what they do then.

Seriously though, this is a good start, but it needs to be stepped up. 2, 3 times a week they need to be doing this. Unless and until we do something about that blatant theft, China will not change.
