Should violent extremist propaganda be banned from the internet?

Should violent extremist organizations, such as ISIS, be granted the same freedom of information dissemination that law abiding citizens possess?

I am certain these videos are also inspiring people to stand against ISIS and their crimes against all of humanity. On the contrary, I know that there are many who are suggestible in this world and are devoid of the reasoning required to realize their acts are not in step with true Islamic beliefs.

I want to get a range of opinions on the matter of denying violent religious extremists the same internet rights as law abiding citizens of the world. I am hoping to fine tune my opinion on internet free speech with the help of the RP community.

I want to note that this is a slippery slope, because when we determine one form of data that we don't want on the internet - it will not be long before other forms are removed on different grounds.

No. I am a firm believer that the solution to bad speech is more speech. Unless they are planning very specific attacks on the internet, then it should not be banned.

I'll also caution those who think it should be banned that you are probably guilty of the same thing. Ever say something like "we should kill all those savages", "Let's bomb them back to the stone age", "Let's just nuke the whole region"? Just as violent.

I don't think we remove any of this stuff. Instead, we dissect it, we poke fun at it, we point out the fallacies...we make it less effective for the groups using it.
