had to look that up first before I could answer.

We already have 31+ Baskin Robbins flavors of "I hate America" countries, regimes, cults, belligerencies, etc. so what's one more. IMHO a caliphate is just another form of current Islamic states. If they fly the "I hate America" flag we watch them like everyone else we watch.

As the situation grows we are definitely going to want to be aware of the factions as they draw together and all of the Islamic world comes together under one direction. It has been said that ISIS is only approx. 40K strong with well trained henchmen. In the U.S. we have 53 million "registered" gun owners... that is "registered" gun owners. Now although we hold a decisive upper hand in this quotient, again need to watch as the factions are being pieced together and who rises to be placed in charge of the whole of Islam.

Yes. According to their Quran a Caliphate is one of their prophecies that their version of end times and the lifting up of Islam will be at hand. Also, it will give them a rallying point to better coordinate their terrorism.
