Now how many organizations are there for purchasing a home . Now we have the va home loan but that is a loan in which you will have to repay 100% plus interest,if only we can use that go bill as a deposit. I know that it doesn't work this way for everyone, however I got out of the Army, went to school on the gi bill, then came back into the service through the Coast Guard. The government definitely received a return on that investment. I would also offer that an education will always make a person better, where a down payment on a house could go either way.
