Why should they be allowed to have something different and exempt from the laws that apply to the rest of the nation?Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 12 at 2014 6:49 PM2014-01-12T18:49:33-05:002014-01-12T18:49:33-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member37024<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Absolutely Sir- as leaders, we are taught to "lead from the front"-- it only seems appropriate that our Government Leaders should do the same. It would also go a long way towards stifling the "them versus us" mindset of the government worker (both civilian and military) as the budget is navigated. Thanks! <br>Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 12 at 2014 6:55 PM2014-01-12T18:55:01-05:002014-01-12T18:55:01-05:00SSG Mike Angelo76340<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No. The members of Congress, the House and Senate should not get squat for pulling a single hitch. there is no equity here. The Feds already tax our pensions, and 14 States tax our pensions too. Leave the military retirement alone. And take the Secret Service away from retired Executive, Legislative and Judicial retirees too. They dont deserve it and our country cannot afford that luxury.
