The jury is still out on the hazards of e-cigs. Until demonstrated to be safe, they should be treated like other tobacco products.

They should be used outdoors like cigarettes. When you have people using them in small spaces it gets to be too much too quick. Trust me...

The regs (all services) say it is a no go. They are treated the same as tobacco.

SFC Seaton, I honestly don't see what the issue is with using electronic vapor cigarettes in the workplace. From a 79R point of view, As long as it's not being used during Army interviews or around applicants as well.as out of sight of everyone.

Absolutely not. There is still a discharge which others may not care for.

I know the next response is that it is not harmful but I am discussing the odor. It still has an odor. Not to mention how many want to walk through the vapor?

I am not a huge fan of chewing tobacco either, or dip.

No. The military does not need another nicotine delivery device to reduce readiness and increase money spent to treat self-inflicted illness and disease.

I raised the issue for this question because it is now a popular trend going around. Some claim it is to support an alternative to cigarettes.
I have read that some of the vapor fluids are stronger than the actual tobacco. I have no stand on the matter. I have quit smoking since 2010 and have never gone back to any tobacco product, I also don't judge anyone who uses tobacco products. This was just a discussion and not an argument. Thank you for responding.
