Should protesters be sent to basic to learn respect?

James Adair I understand the Woman's march was peaceful, and that was the way to protest. I only want people joining the military that want to be there. Thugs that riot, loot, destroy property, block streets, roads, and highways, throw rocks and other objects at the police, etc., need to be arrested and prosecuted.

Of course not! Political protest is a vital, necessary part of democracy.

On the other hand, there is political violence. That is a different story. We do not engage in punishment that is cruel and unusual. That is a good thing. Because I have a damn good imagination and a mean streak a mile wide.
