I think your service would be longer in the RESERVES. I don't know how Officers Reserves service differs from Enlisted Reserves. Just do a normal regular active service and get out with better benefits plus a law degree under your belt.Response by PO2 Morton Scisco made Jan 7 at 2016 8:09 PM2016-01-07T20:09:43-05:002016-01-07T20:09:43-05:00PO1 Rick Duff1221970<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>How old are you LT?Response by PO1 Rick Duff made Jan 7 at 2016 9:04 PM2016-01-07T21:04:02-05:002016-01-07T21:04:02-05:00PO1 John Miller1222391<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><br />Have you looked into the other services JAG Corps? I have a friend who was enlisted Army and got her law degree. Army JAG Corps wouldn't take her but Air Force did.Response by PO1 John Miller made Jan 8 at 2016 1:46 AM2016-01-08T01:46:33-05:002016-01-08T01:46:33-05:00CDR Kenneth Kaiser1224553<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You are in an interesting area. Do you have a clearance? Worst case go reserves and work with one of the government agencies while you go to school. Some of them have educational programs and if you combine the law and other skills you might have along with the clearance you could end up doing well for yourself in a rather specialized part of the law.Response by CDR Kenneth Kaiser made Jan 9 at 2016 2:12 AM2016-01-09T02:12:29-05:002016-01-09T02:12:29-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member4326821<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not sure. What you did. But I did. I left active duty in 2015, and went to reserves so I could do full time law school for 3 years. I wanted a 20 year legal career. Was not able to go active duty jag but was able to switch branches and go NG JAG, while having a civilian legal careers. So it depends on how long a process you want this to be. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 29 at 2019 4:44 PM2019-01-29T16:44:45-05:002019-01-29T16:44:45-05:002016-01-07T14:20:08-05:00
