We have enough problems domestically that bringing in refugees should be at the bottom of the priority list. Veterans served this nation. IF anyone is going to be taken in and housed by the US, it should be our own people. Veterans should be at the top of that list. After we have taken care of the homeless veterans, then we can take care of our homeless civilian population. Then if there is anything left in the coffers, we can take in a refugee or two. That is not going to happen. It does not make the US look good to the rest of the world if we take care of our own problems first. We are daddy to the world. We take them in when they are lost, we punish them when they get out of line. We give them an allowance in the form of foreign aid. The US has always been bad at taking care of it's own IMO. If you look at the Veterans piece, the Poverty piece and the number citizens (and I mean Citizens) that can't get health care, or have even enough money to feed their children, then we wonder why. But with that you see the number of Citizens, that are the same way..."I don't want to work, so pay me." Lest we not forget the number of Generational families that have been receiving Social Assistance...oh...forever and have done nothing to earn it, except have more kids. These type of Social systems, should have term limits for those that can work. And I agree with those few states that require drug testing to received benefits (or as they feel Entitlements).
