I
am 72", 230lbs and have been for most of my career. Now the Army has told
me time and time again that I am a fat body or big boy since I have joined.
Here is the problem that I have with that though. One, I workout more than a
little bit and take pride in myself and my appearance. Two, in order to figure
out my true body mass composition I had to go get a UWW (under water weighing)
done. It was ridiculous to see the differences between the UWW and our tape
method. Now, I understand that the Military does not have money to give
everyone a UWW but when do we relook at 600-9 and say maybe we need to change
some things. I truly believe that at my current size and weight I am very
healthy, not to mention I score above a 270 on my PT test and pass tape.
Personally I think we need to relook at the table that defines how much we can
weigh. Also see if we as leaders can figure out a better way to determine body
fat composition.

Should 600-9 be revised again2014-03-21T07:36:18-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member80805

OK, I know this is a sore subject for most but here we go.
