If you can think of where the answer can be found, state the FM, AR or ADP. If you respond with, “I don’t know but I’ll find out”, make sure you follow through because I’ve heard of 1SG’s actually following up when a Soldier has given that response. The board will see right through it and can actually be more of a negative thing then just admitting that you don't know. If you don't know the answer to a question, admit that you do not know.
