NATIONAL GUARD ONLY:
The PAARNG board for SGT convenes in January sometime, but I'm not sure when. Per this regulation, if I'm reading it correctly, the TIG is calculated the last day of the month. So for example, in my situation, I reached the rank of SPC 22JAN16. Would I be qualified for promotion to SGT next January, when the board meets (12 months TIG required). Terribly sorry for the poor picture quality. If my question is not understood, please ask for specific clarification and I will reply. Thank you all very much.
***NOTE: this regulation is only in effect for Guardsmen and NOT for Reserve or Active component soldiers***

You must meet the TIG prior to board date. Your State HQ will send out a roster to all MACOMs showing who is eligible and not eligible. It will work its way down to unit level for verification. They will also include a MOI addressing cut off dates etc to be eligible. Do you have your SSD done?

Yes, SFC. And by the time of the board I will be a graduate of BLC. I would just hate to miss the deadline by a few days.

And that may or may not happen. Yes it does suck, but they stay pretty much by the MOI. I had a Soldier miss being boarded due to missing the cut off date by 2 days due to graduating BLC 2 days after cut off. And no that does not justify a Stand by board. I am not a big fan of the NGABS.
