The Saudi royal family are the official guardians of Mecca and Medina, they are openly saying execute all known and discovered gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals. Companies and Politicians are pressuring NC, GA, and SC to reject Religious Freedom Laws under the threat of economic sanctions. Why is there NO pressure on nations?

In that regard you could ask what is to be done regarding the country doing business there and other places with like mentality. I do not believe that we should assert our belief systems on anyone. Each country is sovereign! What works in one country does not work in another, culture will always dictate.

They also stone women for adultery and cut the hands off of petty thieves. They have a lot of domestic policies we disagree with. And the US has a lot of domestic policies other countries disagree with. It's just the nature of sovereignty...they can pretty much do what they want, internally, as a sovereign nation. We can complain, or use the UN to complain, or implement sanctions (like we already do against Iran & N Korea), but in the end, they do what they want. Not the same as US states, which are not sovereign, and the federal government has tremendous power through federal tax dollars distribution (or not).

It is their country...we do not need to push our agenda on their views. I am tired of being the worlds militia on social norms. What is right by us is not by them. I absolutely don't agree with it nor do I like it but it is their way. Until they invade another country without provocation then what they do in their house should stay in their house. I am tired of packing up guns and our young men and women to be a police force.

US better not have a policy towards the commercial sector. The companies themselves typically won't send "offensive" people to another country. Why invite a problem? I'm waiting for the EEOC complaint or suit that a LGBT etc. was discriminated because by not being allowed to go, their promotion options were reduced. That's a real Pandora's Box if successful. The US already has a large "Ugly American" problem. It was tolerated when we were strong in our foreign policy. Now that we've been weak for 8 years, we are tolerated less and the welcome mat is being pulled back. I've seen the loss of respect in the Eurozone for some time as I go there every summer.

What's new? What's funny is when LGTB carry signs protesting Isreal that has bent over backwards for them. And carrying signs promoting Islam. I don't know if they still do it. But you could not buy a coke in Saudi Arabia because they had a Jewish CEO.

Why focus on Saudi Arabia? here are ten counties that have the death penalty in the Middle East. Do we stop doing business with all of them? Or just the ones like Iran, that actually does execute them. That got left out of the great "deal" struck by Obama and Kerry.

CMSgt Bill Ford - Are you suggesting that the US should take an international position to regulate international trade based upon our own sexual identity policies (or, lack thereof)? The US has looked the other way when it comes to other human rights issues. Why? Money Talks... and the Saudi's have plenty of voice. Lockheed Martin isn't going to cancel any F-35 orders because the Saudi's are persecuting the LGBT community.
