Should the hair buns thread even be considered seeing that the original author of the post deleted her original post?

Either way, my vote is for Atheists in Foxholes only because I can't stomach myself to support Should a 2LT Salute a 1LT...

I will go with the AR 670-1 discussion, because that could also include the hair buns discussion! I think the 2LT saluting a 1LT discussion should be given its own special award for most ridiculous discussion of the decade. Come on, you know there isn't going to be a worse one for a while.

2 Buns is the reason my psychiatrist doubled my dose of Prozac. That discussion may have been the most volatile I have ever been on here. I don't think I told a single joke.

Look at the state of the "Should a 2LT Salute a 1LT?" discussion. I forgot what it was even about but thanks to the memes, I laugh hysterically thus continuing to benefit from it lol.
Kudos to MAJ Carl Ballinger for keeping up the good fight on that discussion ;)

Now this is a real tough one. The only two clear choices are "Hair Buns" and "Foxholes". Both heavily relied on emotionality as well as inflammatory language. Will edit this later on. Really have to think about this one.

Hard call between the 2LT saluting 1LT convo and AR 670-1 changes. Both took on a life of their own! I'm going to go with the 2LT salute one though.

Awesome job and best congratulations to 1LT Eric Rosa for the award of the RPx2014 "Runaway Discussion" award. You are an exceptional part of the Rally Point team. Bravo Zulu!!

As an aside, an old salty Chief pulled me aside a long time ago when he saw me and some Shipmates cross a street simply to avoid saluting an Ensign (O-1). He found no humor in it. He taught us that we are saluting the flag, not the Officer...it completely changed my perspective!!
