RP members, I have had my posts get changed by RP staff. Often this voids me from getting bonuses at 10 and 25 votes. Do you get this too?

You still get bonuses when a post - link, update or question - reaches the appropriate number of votes. The format of that post does should not change this.

I wish they would do more to combine or eliminate duplicate postings, esp those using the same link or photo. Another aggravation is the paid promotion posts which seem to hang around forever. How long do such advertisements typically stay up? Thanks to the Admins for the good work you do. Hope they pay you something for your time.

Common practice. This is one of the main reasons I don't really post questions or links. I think I have posted a total of five things, if that. I don't really like some "word Nazi" or "educated turd" editing my words in my questions and links. Have they not read some of the mispelled wurds (yes, I know) and horrible grammar some members are using? Why not edit those posts?

One more thing before I step off my soapbox - a link I posted a few hours ago was edited by one of these "admins" who knew better than me, the original poster, what I was trying to convey. This irks me to no end.

When I asked a question a while back, they re-worded it for the reader to understand, but that is all that RP has done.

Perhaps the admins should ask the author whether they agree or might prefer to keep original posting form and/or modify admin approach. I've only had this issue once - but admin edits completely changed nature of my question and background which resulted in misunderstanding - and I ultimately had to argue to undo the admin change - the original posting form produced more vibrant replies that stuck to the premise and topic. If the admins modify a posting w/o original author permission then the admins should become the authors. Warmest Regards, Sandy

Sometimes we make mistakes and the admins clean up the mess. Sometimes they make mistakes and we have to accept them or fight for our postings. You'll win some. You'll lose some. To be fair, they've won on occasion and rightly so, on others I've won and rightly so. I don't believe that any or most are paid, so just keep in that in mind. Personally, I wouldn't be an admin even if they paid me.

Thanks for the heads up. I do not know enough about the inter-workings of the RP point system. I accept their edits, and I am ok with that. One of the administrators fixed my tags on one of the recent posts, which is fine. Looking through the posts helps me get through my studies.
