ROTC Uniform questions: Can you wear service stripes on the ASU as a Cadet? Do you keep the gold piping on the cuffs of the ASU as a Cadet?

I get there is a CCR 670-1 but the information included is limited with little direction.

Try the DA PAM 670-1 instead of the AR or CCR.

Commissioned officers cannot wear the service stripe, so it's likely cadets cannot either. This isn't a definitive answer, but just my guess. As a cadet, you are much closer to being an officer than enlisted.

Today marks my 3rd year of being enlisted in the USAR and I believe I am now authorized to wear a service stripe, however during my enlistment I enrolled in ROTC and became a contracted Cadet. When I commission will I be authorized to continue to wear my service stripe as an officer from when I was enlisted?

In my battalion, G2G cadets have two sets of ASUs: one they got in bct when they enlisted and one from the supply officer. The only things they transfer from one to the other are their rack, badges and combat patch.

I have interacted with other ROTC battalion and they had much different standards.
I would say ask your smsi?

Service strips no because you're kinda now in the officer realm and officers don't wear the service stripes or marksmanship badges. While DA PAM and AR are good references unfortunately they don't dive too much into "cadet land" so the CCRs are your best bet to find information. I can tell that you cannot mix and match "active army" and "cadet land" in your ASU, for instance if you have an AAM, ARCOM, Good Conduct, etc. and you decide to wear your cadet rank to a formal even or and "ASU event" you cannot wear your "active army" awards. Cadet Land is really tricky and kinda dumb at times.

No service stripes or weapons badges (same as commissioned officers). You can wear combat service stripes.

When I did ROTC those of us who were prior service wore our ribbons, and service stripes.

Your question should be asked to your Cadet Adviser, because they have the final say so. But your question id funny because us here become like the barracks lawyers we have knowledge but your environment is decided by your cadet command.

What I was told at my ROTC program was you either wear a complete enlisted uniform or a complete cadet uniform. The only items to transfer to the cadet uniform are your oversea service stripes, unit awards, medals, skill badges and your CSIB.

Honestly your best bet as a cadet is to just play the game and be as humble as possible. I tried to wear everything possible including my silver Spurs and they knock you down. Stay low and when you emerge as an officer people will pick up on your service in your mind, character, and attitude. Bars and stripes are nothing but show. Your actions as a soldier speak far more words. Good luck brother.

General rule of thumb is you do not mix ROTC and "Real Army" uniform parts. Some exceptions are if a) you are an MSIV and have already been branch assigned, you can wear your branch insignia, and b) if you have "real Army" awards and badges, you can wear those too provided you do not mix them with ROTC badges and awards.

Assuming you were enlisted before, we wore service stripes (albeit this was with Class As).

To be honest, though, it's not worth the money to sew them on when you're going to commission.

Deployed stripes, yes. Service stripes, no. I had to ask that when I started ROTC too.
