SFC Peter Cortese (78) served for 20 years in the US Army, from 1955 to 1975, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service during Vietnam. He passed away on 9 June 2014. There will be a visitation followed by a service on Sunday June 16 to honor SFC Cortese of High Point, NC. We will then escort the family to the Carolina Field of Honor at Triad Park where Military Honors will be rendered. The family had a brick placed in his honor but SFC Cortese was unable to visit the memorial and only saw it via pictures. I am working on getting LEO escort from the church to the Carolina Field of Honor.

16 JUN 2014 – Ward Street Mission,, 1619 W Ward Ave, High Point, NC
https://goo.gl/maps/Izdcb

Staging: 4:15 PM
Briefing: 4:30 PM
Flag Line: 4:45 PM to 6:30 PM (visitation 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM, followed by service)
Escort to Field of Honor (Kernersville) after service where honors will be rendered
https://goo.gl/maps/wY0Je

Obituary: http://www.cumbyfuneral.com/obituaries/Peter-Cortese/#!/Obituary

I am honored to act as RCIC for this mission.
Karen "Mixer" Wayboer
