SFC Aaron Finley63883<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So there I was, attending my first meeting with Retirement Services today after receiving my packet from my Brigade S1 and as the counselor was screening my packet she noticed on my ERB that the highest position I've held during my career was as a First Sergeant with the "M" identifier. She mentioned that there was a possiblity of retiring as a E8, but i'm not getting my hopes up. I'm currently not promotable, don't have a sequence number, and I'm not on any promotion list. Is there any truth to this and if so where can I find this information? I did notice that it's sometimes done when Soldiers are unvlountarily retired through the MEB process.Retiring at the highest position held during your service.2014-02-24T22:25:59-05:00SFC Aaron Finley63883<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So there I was, attending my first meeting with Retirement Services today after receiving my packet from my Brigade S1 and as the counselor was screening my packet she noticed on my ERB that the highest position I've held during my career was as a First Sergeant with the "M" identifier. Usually, you retire at your "highest three". In your case, I'm guessing your pension will be based on your last three years' pay.Response by 1SG Michael Blount made May 28 at 2015 11:30 AM2015-05-28T11:30:27-04:002015-05-28T11:30:27-04:002014-02-24T22:25:59-05:00
