The OFFICE of President deserves the greatest reverence but who in here in their heart believe these questions are really sincere.<br /><br />To buttress this assertion, consider the fact that one "questioner" implied that the UCMJ should apply. That person left after posting the question and this tread is NOT an anomaly!<br /><br />And further, for those have a legitimate and not political purpose it diminishes the thread and escalates into what amounts to a 'taunt'. <br />A recent question touted the absolute opinion of how great President Obama is. The current question is done respectfully and I appreciate that but one can see how others in a different party feel put off.<br /><br />What is your take and please no negativity about the President but those behind the deception? I think that people who lean towards progressive/liberal philosophy are behind the efforts in general. Two points: 1. We in the military do not give up our constitutional right to free speech broadly, but we do yield some of our rights to help protect and defend the constitution we have sworn to protect and defend. So, debate can and should continue, but: 2. Do not disrespect or denigrate the office of the Presidency or of our other civilian leaders. And President Obama is currently cloaked in that office. You may dislike or hate any or all of his policies (I dislike almost all of them), but stick to policies...not the office, or the man...if you want to stay safe.
