Have your old card and orders in hand, and you're good to go. Your ID card will have a health group number on back which is TRI Care by default. Make sure your dependents get a new card as well as they are covered, hence can drop their plan as needed. Make sure you purchase an eye and dental plan as Tri Care doesn't do that.

https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl
