Requiring Women to sign up for Selective Services? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/requiring-women-to-sign-up-for-selective-services

With all this talk about Equality, I have noticed something. It seem's this version of equality many preach of today, isnt true equality. It seems to be a system where they take the good parts about equality (Special Operations, Combat MOS's etc...) but there isn't much being said about the downsides (i.e the selective services/ draft)

I am against doing this in principle, but i believe that is a required measure for Equality..... even though i think its a terrible idea in theory....

Now with that being said, some groups like SWAN (Service Womens Action Network) are for women signing up for the draft (As they are made up of female service members and veterans), but some of the civilian feminist organizations are against it. It goes against the very definition. The strategic political and military leadership intent is to open up all MOSs to females by FY16. Since that is the case then the logical next step for the strategic political leadership to take would be to require females to sign up for selective service. I am not aware, however, of that step being started, let alone implemented. Whether one agrees or disagrees with opening up all MOSs to females, a person has to admit that opening up all MOS to females without requiring women to sign up for selective service is a logical disconnect. From personal experiences, I have noticed that sometimes women want to be treated as equals but don't feel they have to put forth the effort with exceptions of some women. It is the same in marriages sometimes, they want the goods, but sometimes the don't pull their weight. And again I mean no offense to anyone. This rule applies to even men. A friend of mine who by the way is female, believes people need to work for what they want instead of recieving a handout. She is the hardest working person I know because she desires to have two jobs to help sustain herself. If it doesn't fit their agenda, they don't want it. There are still many double standards that are plaguing our country and our military. Right now, EO is more of an illusion, it appears to be there; but it's not really. Sadly, we have more dog and pony shows to give the illusion of action so to give the impression something is being done to improve a situation, such as equal opportunity. I'm just telling it like I see it; but it really doesn't bother me anymore. I just do my job; and any female under me will be treated and tasked like any other male. Some may see me as heartless because of that; but I believe they want equal treatment. Is this not correct?
