The strategic political and military leadership intent is to open up all MOSs to females by FY16. Since that is the case then the logical next step for the strategic political leadership to take would be to require females to sign up for selective service. I am not aware, however, of that step being started, let alone implemented. Whether one agrees or disagrees with opening up all MOSs to females, a person has to admit that opening up all MOS to females without requiring women to sign up for selective service is a logical disconnect.Response by COL Jason Smallfield, PMP, CFM, CM made Nov 7 at 2014 3:54 PM2014-11-07T15:54:53-05:002014-11-07T15:54:53-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member315916<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The honest truth is (no offense to any woman), you want equality, prepare yourself to get drafted! From personal experiences, I have noticed that sometimes women want to be treated as equals but don't feel they have to put forth the effort with exceptions of some women. It is the same in marriages sometimes, they want the goods, but sometimes the don't pull their weight. And again I mean no offense to anyone. This rule applies to even men. A friend of mine who by the way is female, believes people need to work for what they want instead of recieving a handout. She is the hardest working person I know because she desires to have two jobs to help sustain herself.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 7 at 2014 4:23 PM2014-11-07T16:23:59-05:002014-11-07T16:23:59-05:00MSgt Keith Hebert347613<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes just equality reasons. <br />But the politicians would not want their little girls being forced into the military.Response by MSgt Keith Hebert made Nov 29 at 2014 10:15 PM2014-11-29T22:15:17-05:002014-11-29T22:15:17-05:00PO2 David Hagwood516778<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yeah, it seems like many feminists care more about situational rights, not equal rights. If it doesn't fit their agenda, they don't want it. There are still many double standards that are plaguing our country and our military. Right now, EO is more of an illusion, it appears to be there; but it's not really. Sadly, we have more dog and pony shows to give the illusion of action so to give the impression something is being done to improve a situation, such as equal opportunity. I'm just telling it like I see it; but it really doesn't bother me anymore. I just do my job; and any female under me will be treated and tasked like any other male. Some may see me as heartless because of that; but I believe they want equal treatment. Is this not correct?Response by PO2 David Hagwood made Mar 6 at 2015 11:00 PM2015-03-06T23:00:55-05:002015-03-06T23:00:55-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member544452<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Could you direct me to a couple of these feminist groups that are against women signing up for selective service?Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 21 at 2015 9:21 PM2015-03-21T21:21:07-04:002015-03-21T21:21:07-04:00Sgt Cody Dumont544462<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I believe in equal rights, women should be made to sign up for the draft.Response by Sgt Cody Dumont made Mar 21 at 2015 9:31 PM2015-03-21T21:31:06-04:002015-03-21T21:31:06-04:00SSG (ret) William Martin682077<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Women's rights advocates - "We want equal rights!"<br /><br />Man - "okay ladies, you get infantry and Ranger school!"<br /><br />WRA - "Yea"<br /><br />Man - "sign here for selective service!"<br /><br />WRA - "What?????????????????????"Response by SSG (ret) William Martin made May 20 at 2015 3:46 AM2015-05-20T03:46:42-04:002015-05-20T03:46:42-04:002014-11-07T15:38:01-05:00
