However, being as the medal is called the Army Good Conduct Medal, I would gather that it is to be just the time served in the Army. You cannot get an AGCM based on service in another branch. It is three years in the current branch. If you were in the USMC for three years, you should&#39;ve received a NGCM. Once you switch to the Army and you do another 3 years on active duty in the Army, you will receive the Army Good Conduct Medal. You will be able to wear both, however the Army Good Conduct will take precedence. Hope this helps!
