Some service members says the Army is using this (updated AR<br />670-1) event to assist in the force reduction of Soldiers. Some Soldiers<br />will understand the Army is reinforcing the Standards from 15 years ago. A Service member,<br />who has been in service for 13 years and over, can relate to this administrative<br />change from G1. I remember my Platoon sergeant famous words of wisdom (Before<br />you can and exceed the standards, master the basics first!) This is what US. Army is doing! Bringing back<br />the basic and enforcing it. If you are a Noncommissioned Officer, there should<br />be now opinion of why the Army is making changes. Real Noncommissioned Officers,<br />(over come, adapt, drives on and lead by example) no matter what the situation<br />is, Sergeant’s just looks for a deposit every 1st and 15th<br />of the month.
