Are you a better teacher and mentor or a better salesman? You stated you enjoy the higher OPTEMPO of deployments. Is it just deployments or are you more of an adrenaline junkie who is not going to be satisfied in recruiting.

I cannot advise you on the current Board Makeup for Army SFC, but there is good advice about that. However, I think you have already answered your question as to what you really want to do. I really enjoyed the interplay as an instructor, watching the light come on in a student's eyes as he/she got it, and seeing the change from student to Technician.

So, answer the question for yourself, which will make you happy Instructor or Recruiter?
