So can i reclass without penalty? Ive read the contract and it just says whatever amount ive received id have to pay back in full if i fail to complete my obligation. But i havent received any. If you reclass prior to your terms of your contract for your bonus you lose the bonus or potential of it and have to pay it back, if you get it before you reclass... so yes there is the penalty. If you have a 3 year contract for $6,000, but you only serve 2 years in that MOS, then you would keep $4,000 (before taxes) and would incur a debt for $2,000. If you give us more information (how much was your bonus, how far along you are in your contract, etc.), I can give you a more definitive answer.
