You won't be in long enough to have earned any benefits even if you receive an honorable discharge.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 12 at 2019 8:47 AM2019-03-12T08:47:11-04:002019-03-12T08:47:11-04:00SGT Dave Tracy4441435

Nearly everyone falls flat in life; what matters is whether you make excuses for it or dust yourself off and get back in the fight! The type of discharge really is NOT what you should be dwelling on--assuming of course that you care about your commitment to the Army and your potential future in it; if not, just skip what follows.

First, get failure OUT of your damn head! You don't need it; the Army doesn't need it. Shake that shit off and drive on. Don't let your focus on failure and its potential consequences become a self-fulfilling prophesy, or it will be!

The work may not be easy, but the plan is simple enough: Dig deep for some motivation, double down on your PT, pass the test.

"Free time" is your time to improve yourself; skip the barrack parties, sidestep the pizza & beer, and put that Xbox controller down. You know your deficiencies, therefore you should be laser-focused on what you need to do to pass, and then do that. Get in the gym, get on the track, pass the next PT test. If you've ever passed a PT test before, then there's no reason you cannot do it again.

Soldier, the next time you post, I want to read that you got motivated, worked your ass off, then smashed the APFT!Response by SGT Dave Tracy made Mar 12 at 2019 9:38 AM2019-03-12T09:38:29-04:002019-03-12T09:38:29-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member4441508

Don't focus on the next apft failure.
