Re-enlisted for option 5 and going to the promotion board would I still get my choice of station if I get my promotable status?

I Re-enlisted under option 5 and I’m going to the promotion board soon if I get my P status will it affect my chances of going to the duty station I re-enlisted for?

If you pin before you PCS it could affect your assignment. It's in the part you read that says "I have read and understand line 5 of table E5..."
If you lose the assignment you will be able to renegotiate for a new assignment for reenlistment option

See you Career Counselor ASAP. He or She will contact the Retention branch on your behalf to valid it the assignment for the next rank before you attend the promotion board.

It may...that is a question you need to as your retention NCO. Choice of station is if there are any openings in your rank at that duty station. If it affects the choice you need to decide what is more important the Promotion of the station. Traditionally there are never enough MP NCOs at any duty station that's why we had SPC as team leaders. If your choice is a small post like Ft Huachuca or the like that's when it becomes problematic. if its Hood, or Campbell then probably not. A good Retention NCO will work on finding what you want within limits so give him/her as much time as you can to give you what you want.
