Is there a certain rank I have to hit before my 20-years mark in the Reserves?

If I have 16 years of total service got demoted hit RCP on active went back to reserves and I am picking up rank on schedule, is there a certain rank I have to get to at my 20yrs mark? Will the Reserves put me out under RCP at 20yrs ?

Probably. Talk with your Retention NCO. They'll know the answer.

Add on to my previous response. I can't find anything in the regulations about Reserves and RCP...as in RCP negatively affecting Reserve Soldiers. Be that as it may, still seek out your Retention NCO and Career Counselor to seek out the advice of the SME.

There's no such thing as RCP in the Reserves, it's an active duty and AGR thing. You can be a 20 year SPC if you want to keep serving

I've seen Reservists and Guardsmen retire as SPC's. You should be fine.
