Don't you worry that one day we will be facing 12 years old soldiers 14 years old soldiers?? That is all I worry about ... think of what kind of emotion of our troops went through in their mind when they need to blow a kid off that is the same age of his own.

I think my first reaction was the same as most peoples' - that this is depraved and diseased.
Then I thought for a moment.
How many things do we teach our own children in how we act and speak in our daily lives? Racism, homophobia, misogyny... didn't form in a vacuum.
I want my children to know and face down evil when it rears it's ugly head; I am not raising victims. But I don't want them to ever have to hate someone simply for who they are or what they look like.

It starts in my own home, three kids at a time. I love them too much to teach them to hate.
