Their victims were given no such courtesy. They should get whatever is on the menu that day at the prison cafeteria, stuff it down their pie hole and take the stroll to the death chamber and receive the punishment that was likely 15-20 years in the coming. That is 15-20 more years than their victim(s) had on this earth. He is paying his debt. By the time he goes to his execution it will be out of his system. Remember a conviction does not always mean the man was actually guilty. There have bebeen countless cases of innocent people being convicted of crimes. Giving him his final request is harmless to us so what does it hurt? If an inmate asks for MCDonalds it is contraband, under normal circumstance. As a last meal nothing that is otherwise legal should not be. So my question here is "Is it league in the State, County, City where the meal will be served?" If at the gas station across the street sells beer to the public, yes it should be granted. If alcoholic beverages are not leagal for sale, possession, or consumption, then no the law would have to be broken to give it to him.

Every prion I have worked at most items requested would be contraband anywhere else in the institution, a beer should be no different. That said set a reasonable limit. They may request a steak but not the cow. Give a serving of what he requests.
