Question about final pay audit? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/question-about-final-pay-audit

I know this has been asked here multiple times but i could not find any thing specific to my situation. I am resigning from AGR and going back to reserve status(MDAY). I still owe money for an advanced pay from my PCS move. My question is since I'm going back to reserve status will the debt follow me or will they audit my final paycheck from AGR and take it then. My final pay came back saying it was a no pay due but it should have been 7K. Come to find out, my finance admitted to the error on their end and submitted a case number to DFAS to correct. I’ve called DFAS multiple times (8) for a status and was told nothing other than we are working it. They also confirmed the error was not on my part. A few of my peers retired shortly after I did and have received their final pay. While I planned accordingly and my finances are in order. It’s the principles of being punished for something or an error not caused by me. Its, been 8 months thus far with no end in sight. I’m told veteran can’t sue DFAS, so that’s out. Guess the hurry up and wait still applies.

Thanks for listening,

John CW5 Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 11 Dec 2020 06:16:51 -0500 2020-12-11T06:16:51-05:00 2018-10-18T13:24:25-04:00
