Only time I ever had issues with my 500 tactical was when I would clean it, then exactly 1 time the slide would lock on me, one swift hit of the buttstock on the ground (barrel pointed away) and it would work flawless till the next time I cleaned it. It has plenty of parts available, different size barrels etc. for cheap and it's easy to use and work on.
