It's not Fort Polk. It does snow quite a bit, as in you will get about 2-3' then nothing for a week and then it will dump snow again, add in the days of just snow dusting. The winters are pretty long, OCT (starts getting cold) - APR (end of APR, sometimes into MAY). it does get COLD; like "%$#, its -22 outside" (usually in FEB-MAR). Then add in the Windchill. You can expect snow until 15MAY..... But as long as you find something to do, as in get out of the house/barracks its not that bad. Its normally the Soldiers/families that stay in their houses/barracks that hate it the most. There not a lot to do in the immediate area, unless your an outdoors (hunting, hiking, fishing, off road, camping) type of person/family. Spring, summer and fall are beautiful, about 80 degrees. But its like any place in the Army, it is what you make it. SFC David H. Wed, 01 Jun 2022 17:15:24 -0400 2022-06-01T17:15:24-04:00 2022-06-01T16:31:20-04:00
