Once you get to your unit start talking to your leadership about your goal. It will require several letters of recommendation from various levels of your chain of command. I would expect to be at your unit at least a year or two before that happens.<br /><br />Let me state the obvious though. What will take the longest is your education. If you&#39;re a PFC then you don&#39;t have a bachelor degree already. If you have your bachelor degree then your recruiter messed up with your rank. You won&#39;t be eligible to apply for OCS until after you have your degree complete SFC Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 18 Jan 2021 17:38:31 -0500 2021-01-18T17:38:31-05:00 Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2021 6:43 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/process-of-going-enlisted-to-officer-after-completing-osut?n=6671189&urlhash=6671189 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As said previously, you should focus on finishing basic, OSUT and getting acclimated to the Army. Per the current MILPER message, the OCS board convenes 4 times a year. Refer to MILPER Message 20-307. That is the most recent OCS MILPER message that I am tracking. It will lay out the board dates as well as packet requirements. Good luck in your future in the Army. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 18 Jan 2021 18:43:22 -0500 2021-01-18T18:43:22-05:00 Response by Wayne Soares made Jan 18 at 2021 7:29 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/process-of-going-enlisted-to-officer-after-completing-osut?n=6671304&urlhash=6671304 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Thanks for the question Jeffrey Wayne Soares Mon, 18 Jan 2021 19:29:07 -0500 2021-01-18T19:29:07-05:00 Response by SFC Keith Gardner made Jan 20 at 2021 2:14 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/process-of-going-enlisted-to-officer-after-completing-osut?n=6675599&urlhash=6675599 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You’ve got some great facts and advice below. I’d add that you need to learn how to be a follower before becoming a leader. Kick ass in OSUT. Max PT and the range. Be humble. Keep your head down, your mouth shut, and your eyes and ears open. Be an information sponge. Develop your reading, writing and critical thinking skills. Good luck.
