By the way, my Medal of Honor isn't showing up in my record. Can you help? :)

I'm not an HR guy but I wouldn't take anyone's word for anything. If the Soldier comes back from a school and has a certificate or your unit gives them an award you know that the Soldier graduated or got the award you can perm it. If it is an award from another unit and it comes to the unit you know it is legit. If it is something that you have a question on (suddenly they graduated HALO school in a reserves transportation unit) then yes check it out. Enlisted or Officer, a soldier must present to you a certified copy of whatever it is he/she wants iPERM'ed; for example, a soldier must have his/her Good Conduct Medal certificate with a memo stating a permanent order number and the date it was awarded.
