Prior service Marine 3051 to Army 92y?

I'm trying to do a mos conversion from 3051 supply to 92y unit supply. I have 4 years and 1 month of prior service. I went to Meps to pick my job but they only offered me option 2 of prior service jobs since I have over 4 years of active service. (I only extended 1 month because my first army recruiter fucked up my paperwork) well all of the jobs that were available to me were infantry jobs. So I requested to do a mos conversion for supply. Has anyone ever done a mos conversion from Marines to Army? How long did it take? Or is it possible?

Cpl Private RallyPoint Member 92Y has been a chronic shortage for at least 10 years. 25% of 92Y billets were going unfilled...that's tough going when you are authorized 2 at the company level.

You'll be needed when you arrive, if that is your decided route.

If you story is as you say then contact the Army IG for the Recruiting Command HRC at Fort Knox, KY.

Even if you were a 92Y leaving the Army and returning, you wouldn't be guaranteed a 92Y job. You get offered what they need. You can always wait, assuming your scores are high enough for the job. USAREC is a fickle, fickle lady.

If anything you will want to go 92A. 92Y will block you at SGT unless you become the active duty unit supply Sgt. Find a unit that has vacancies and get most that they need. You will get promoted.
