Two live feeds came up on my Facebook page within minutes of each other. One from President Trump and one from Chase Iron Eyes. President Trump claims he never heard a thing about Standing Rock. Waves of veterans have formed to surround the Water Protectors as they relocate. The resolve of the Native American tribes is stronger than ever and they are angry about being placated in Nov with lies.

Just me but if the issue is about going under the lake with the pipeline then why not go around it and build containment and catchment ponds to divert any potential spillage away from the lake. No rocket science needed, surface lay it, berm it and divert spillage.

So, just a quick question? Why is the Native American community involved in this. It is not on their land. What is their dog in this fight? If my neighbor wants to build a 40 foot tall gazebo in his back yard do I have the right to take up arms and demand that it not be built?

Remember when Pres. Obama was in Japan about 8 months ago. He was asked about Standing Rock by a Japanese newspaper. He said he had never heard of it. So POTUS is not the only one.

Okay this is what I know. The pipeline needs to be rerouted. If that happens the protest will still continue. But if it moves off of Standing g Rock property they have no player in the game. The stretch across SR is less than 5 miles. The idea behind both DAL and XL is to reduce our reliance on Saudi/Middle East oil. Another big help in this would be to bring all of the Alaska oil to the US. Currently the majority goes to Japan. The protest over XL is stupid. They moved the route from the Nebraska Sandhills to the part of Nebraska that has serious bedrock. I live in the Sandhills. If we have an earthquake we feel nothing. The sand simply shifts. The argument about the Ogalla Aquafer is stupid also. There are currently over 5000 miles of pipeline and several hundred oil wells in Nebraska and the Aquafer has never been in danger by any of them. So it is all about money in the end.

Crude oil in water is not toxic. Oil naturally seeps into the water all around the globe. Oil can easily been removed from water at treatment centers. Pipelines are the safest, fastest, and most economical method to transport liquids. Any leaks are quickly detected and volumes minimized through various remote operated valves. I suspect more oil flows into any major city's sewer system from cars than this pipeline will every leak.
