Because the Republicans don't stick together like the Democrats. Poor leadership as we saw during the Obama administration. As much as I detest the Democrat leadership, they can be relied on to control the caucus. It's NOT on the Dems, but the Republicans. They can not handle power.

It is the same tactic the Republican party pulled with Obama nominees. Most recently with Garland, but this tactic was employed throughout Obama's 8 years. There is disagreement, so there is stalling.

It comes down to personal vs professional. Stalling yes but the amount and the attacks by the Left are hardly not personal. Daily some never trump or leftist says something out of context about the President. Imagine if this was the Republicans attacking Former President Obama. Bluf America voted get to work.

All of Obama's nominees had completed and had their ethics paperwork processed before the hearings began. Almost none of Trump's did, and the senate pushed forward with the hearings anyway. So then as issues came to light, they had to be sorted out later. If they had followed the normal procedures instead of slow walking their ethics disclosures, many would have gone faster.

I truly believe that the Democrats really thought they had the whole election wrapped up tight and did not have any other plans other than ops normal. When Trump won it was an oh crap moment and since that time they have been scrambling to stall and screw things up temporarily till they can gather their wagons. just my two cents
