They must see what the POTUS is planning that may affect them through economic decisions and foreign policy. Political ideology means nothing in this. It is a simple baseline knowledge to see where their country may be heading provided that the POTUS' vision is enacted.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 28 at 2014 9:42 PM2014-01-28T21:42:58-05:002014-01-28T21:42:58-05:00LTC Richard Becker46107<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I encourage all to watch. Our Junior Soldiers, NCOs, and Officers will lead our Army when we have long since removed our uniforms. It's critical that they understand the strategic direction of the United States and how Strategy will translate into operations at their level. It has nothing to do with political ideology.Response by LTC Richard Becker made Jan 28 at 2014 9:52 PM2014-01-28T21:52:39-05:002014-01-28T21:52:39-05:00CMC Robert Young46130<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not excited. Yes, he will continue military spending, but at a significantly reduced rate. This means less people, which translates to less units. Let his actions do the talking. We've recently seen the attacks on the military retirement system and base commissaries--this is not going to stop. Sadly, the president's actions show that he is not really concerned with the well being of service members and their families, but rather with how much money the military is costing.<div><br></div><div>BTW, do I know you from somewhere?</div>Response by Maj Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 29 at 2014 6:18 PM2014-01-29T18:18:20-05:002014-01-29T18:18:20-05:00SPC Christopher Smith46630<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It concerned me that many of the people, including a good population of NCO's that I spoke to today thought it was pointless to watch the SOTUA, I understand we control nothing, but at least you won't be taken by surprise.Response by SPC Christopher Smith made Jan 29 at 2014 6:35 PM2014-01-29T18:35:42-05:002014-01-29T18:35:42-05:002014-01-28T22:18:29-05:00
