Is having two major unions backing a POTUS candidate significant? I don't see the big deal. So, how does this affect Bernie's campaign?

Both the American Postal Workers Union and National Nurses United have backed Sen. Bernie Sanders' presidential run.

Presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) won the endorsement of the American Postal Workers Union on Thursday, giving the self-described democratic socialist a boost as he seeks more support from organized labor in the Democratic primary.

APWU represents 200,000 U.S. Postal Service employees and retirees. It's the second major national union and member of the AFL-CIO labor federation to endorse Sanders over rival and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

I will say this as a retired Postal Worker I do not endorse Bernie Sanders and the fact that the APWU has makes me sick.

I believe that this announcement is a way to further influence the public, hoping tthat all union workers wilwill vote for absent Bernie . The postal service members are largely members of the middle class. (My wife is a rural Carrier) I would hope that the workers had a say in this endorsement, but sad to say that was not the case.

It wasn't Hillary....! As close to a "win" as you can get. Definitely was not going to be an R endorsement as referenced by SGT Caldwell below.

What other options? Not Republican obviously, Hillary is beholden to corporate America. Only real option.

I don't know how you could vote for Sanders. He has a police record. This picture confirmed as him. He was protesting segregation in 1963.
