I was stationed at HAAF for three years and hope to one day go back. If you are looking for a decent apartment that is pet friendly, the Preston Grove apartments is where it's at. We lived off of route 17 for our last year there. Forget the name of the neighborhood, but the street was Valleydale Way. Great neighborhood. Richmond Hill is nice as well, but kind of far from Hunter. Good luck and you will fall in love with Savannah. I suspect things have changed a bit.<br /><br />I LOVED Savannah. HAAF was okay, but I had some horrible NCOs. I also had the best Truckmaster I ever met. I lived in Richmond Hill. It is only about 10 minutes from HAAF and most of Savannah. The area is great with good schools for the kids. 1SG Christopher Verga Sat, 20 Aug 2016 21:41:26 -0400 2016-08-20T21:41:26-04:00 Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 14 at 2017 4:47 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/pcsing-to-hunter-army-airfield-in-february-what-is-a-nice-area-to-live-in-with-family-and-pets?n=2340877&urlhash=2340877 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Pooler is a real nice area I was stationed there for 5 yrs pooler is by far the nicest place SPC Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 14 Feb 2017 16:47:32 -0500 2017-02-14T16:47:32-05:00 Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 13 at 2017 7:24 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/pcsing-to-hunter-army-airfield-in-february-what-is-a-nice-area-to-live-in-with-family-and-pets?n=2415597&urlhash=2415597 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I currently live in HAAF.
