Sir,

You may think that Bliss is hot and dry, you have seen nothing until you get to NTC.

You are very far away from any amenities, if I remember correctly the nearest grocery store from post is over 30 miles away. I also think I had read that the commissary is on the hit list, so that will add to the issue.

I am not sure what improvements have been made since the late 90s, but there is not much for family activities or family friendly for the surrounding area.

If you enjoy solace and independence, you will get plenty of it there, good luck.

Just do your job to the best of your abilities and don't get caught up in the stupid stuff others do. Remember your a professional. Be proactive and take initative and do what needs to be done without having to be told. Listen to your superiors and make the best of it. NTC can be fun or miserable. It's up to you.

NTC can be quite an experience, it is what you make out of it. Learn from leaders and teach those with a less understanding your experiences of what you have learned. Everyone is a leader, just lik the saying goes "Everybody is a Safety Officer." Teach, guide, mentor, lead.
