It's a different version of ASUs. The indoctrination program is 3 weeks. The uniforms are issued and also look better than the ones you buy at the PX. The end of each week consists of test outs to get to the next week. Test outs are rifle movement test with uniform inspection and then standing proficiency (stand at attention or parade rest) for 45 min the first week. Second week marching test with uniform inspection and then standing proficiency (60 min). The third week consists of mars hung with weapon with a uniform inspection and then standing proficiency (90 min). That's what it was when I was there in 2010-2012. During class days they just show you all that stuff but it's pretty easy. The unit itself is just great the best unit I have ever been in but I wasn't the one standing out there for all ceremonies I was just an S2 dude. But again the unit was good and there is so much to do in the surrounding area which made it better. I was a 68W pv2-spc. <br />The main information I can give you is that due to the fact that you are an 11B SSG, you will be at the tip of the TOG mission spear. The formations you see at ceremonies and funerals are completely made of infantry unless additional filling is needed.
