Will I be able to pick a new duty station(s) when my re-enlistment window opens up or will I be needs of Army?

Last year november I signed 2 year extension which will put me to 10 year mark in service (NOV2023) and per new regs I will go indef. I'm also in the process of PCS. with report date of JUL2022. Once I get to my new duty station my window for marketplace opens up in couple of months(15 months before ETS). Im overseas now, and my branch manager won't let me extend here and put me on CONUS orders.
Will I be able to pick a new duty station(s) when my window opens up or am I needs of army from NOV2023?
I am an E6. not SPC

If I were you, I'd be more concerned about hitting RCP and finding a way to get promoted so that doesn't happen.

You can’t go INDEF as a SPC. You will RCP before you go INDEF. likely needs of the Army because you are a 10 level soldier. I would be more concerned about getting promoted than picking a duty station or your next concern will be finding a civilian job

It's not a new reg, 10 years has been the indef mark for most of the last ten years, it was only changed to 12 for a short time.

You will not be going indef because you're indef until you're at 10 years on the day you reenlist.

You're not eligible to pick a duty station because you're a careerist, you have ten years at ETS. Whether you're indef or not, it will be needs of the Army and your assignment will be through the Marketplace.

You Certainly CAN , Any Location Throughout The Entire Word, Stateside OR The World.
Your Choice ..!!
I Chose Allbrook AFB, Panama For My Over Seas Duty
Then For Stateside, Anywhere In California Or Florida.
But I Was SENT To Little Rock AFB, Arkansas & OSAN AFB, South KOREA.
So, As You Can See, It's OBVIOUS That You Can CHOOSE Any Damned Place You Want To Go..,
No Sweat
